E3-16: Homepage and /pricing opening lines, footer links, anti-cheat replacements, the /expert-tuning sentence, and pages needing facts links
Som · AEO step E3-16 (item E3, "One set of facts everywhere") · due Tuesday 27 October 2026 · drafted Sunday 25 October 2026 · for Vin (E0-11), then Travis (E3-24), then Austin (E3-13)
This is draft wording only. Nothing here is live, filed in Linear or sent to anyone. Once Austin approves it, each change goes to Kamil as its own line in the 30 October Linear list (E3-4 and E3-17).
Sources
- Live pages fetched on 25 October 2026: https://hypertune.gg/, https://hypertune.gg/pricing and https://hypertune.gg/expert-tuning, read from the served HTML, including the text inside the page data that renders by script (the FAQ). Every "Now" line below is quoted from those pages exactly as served.
- Facts page draft (
facts-page-mockup.html, last updated 21 October 2026): the approved facts. Prices, partner wording and the Game Hub line come from here. - Trust page mockup (
trust-page-mockup.html, 22 October 2026): Austin's approved trust wording. - Homepage mockup and notes (
homepage-mockup.html,homepage-mockup-notes.md, revised 22 October 2026, approved by Travis). This draft builds on them: the H1, the new first hero line, the CPU Overclocking card and the FAQ ban answer are taken from there unchanged. - AEO plan (hypertune-reports.pages.dev/aeo-strategy-2026-10-18-c4e1a9), E3-16 and its how-to: a 40 to 60 word opening for the homepage and /pricing that says what Hypertune is and what it costs; footer links to the facts, trust and pricing pages; replacement wording for any anti-cheat line still live; one link sentence from /expert-tuning to the gaming guide; and a list of live pages that need facts and method links. Each change is marked Existing, Changed or New, as in the C29 mockups.
- A4-4 handover audit (22 October 2026), V13 fact sheet, V5 help centre facts,
DEV-site-changes.md,technology-mockup.html,C1-titles-metas-h1s.mdandC3-gaming-guide-draft.md.
Rules this draft follows
- The FPS claim, wherever one appears, is exactly: "Up to 60% higher FPS; results vary by hardware and game." No higher figure is used.
- Partner wording: Hypertune is an Intel and AMD partner, and supports NVIDIA graphics cards.
- Safety wording comes only from the approved lines: the Game Hub line, exactly as approved, and Austin's trust page wording ("Entirely anti-cheat safe / No unsafe game changes are made", "No unsafe edits", "and has no compatibility issues", "without making any unsafe changes.", "does not make any unsafe changes").
- Prices appear only as the facts page states them: $9.99 a month, or $69.99 a year from 16 October 2026, shown against $119.88, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment. The facts page does not tag the prices for Austin, so they carry no tag here.
- Until the facts page is live (planned 4 November), price lines link to https://hypertune.gg/pricing (V8 rule 7). Performance figures link to the test method once it is published inside the facts page (E4-8).
1. Homepage opening lines (H1 and first paragraph)
Now (live, quoted)
- H1: "Boost your gaming performance with one click."
- First paragraph: "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat. Get more frames, smoother gameplay, and less lag."
Proposed
- H1 (Changed; Travis-approved in the homepage mockup): "The game optimizer that tunes your hardware"
- First paragraph (Changed; 59 words):
Hypertune is a game optimizer and FPS booster for Windows PCs. It tunes your CPU, GPU, memory, network and Windows settings, applying only the features you turn on, without making any unsafe changes. Hypertune costs $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment. Get more frames, smoother gameplay, and less lag.
| Sentence | State | Note |
|---|---|---|
| "Hypertune is a game optimizer and FPS booster for Windows PCs." | New | Taken unchanged from the approved homepage mockup. |
| "It tunes your CPU, GPU, memory, network and Windows settings, applying only the features you turn on, without making any unsafe changes." | New | Feature list and "only the features you turn on" are from the facts page lead. "without making any unsafe changes." is Austin's approved wording. It replaces "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat." (see item 4). |
| "Hypertune costs $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment." | New | Prices and guarantee as the facts page states them. The price link points to /pricing until the facts page is live, then to the facts page's price section. |
| "Get more frames, smoother gameplay, and less lag." | Existing | Kept, as in the approved mockup. |
Note for Vin: the approved homepage mockup kept "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat." as an unchanged existing line. This draft replaces it because the AEO rules allow no anti-cheat claim in public copy except Austin's approved trust wording, and E3-13 asks Austin to approve a replacement for every anti-cheat line still live. Everything else in the approved hero stays as it is.
2. /pricing opening lines
Now (live, quoted)
- H1: "The cheapest upgrade you'll ever buy."
- First paragraph: "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat. Get more frames, smoother gameplay, and less lag."
- Under the price cards: "Cancel anytime. 7 day money-back guarantee"
Proposed
- H1 (Changed): "Hypertune pricing". This is the H1 already proposed for /pricing in C1, waiting on Austin's sign-off. If Austin prefers to keep the live line, it can stay as the H2 above the price cards instead.
- First paragraph (Changed; 54 words):
Hypertune costs $9.99 a month, or $69.99 a year from 16 October 2026. A 7-day money-back guarantee covers your first payment. Subscribers already on a yearly price keep that price. Hypertune is a Windows app that tunes your CPU, GPU, memory, network and Windows settings for higher FPS, applying only the features you turn on.
- Label for the crossed-out yearly price (New; for Austin in E3-13): "$119.88 is twelve monthly payments of $9.99."
- Line under the price cards (Changed): "Cancel from your account at least 24 hours before renewal. 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment."
| Piece | State | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Price sentence | New | States both prices first, with the date the facts page gives. This is the "price sentence near the top" that E3-17 checks for. |
| Guarantee sentence | New | Facts page wording: 7 days, first payment. |
| Existing subscribers sentence | New | Facts page: "Subscribers already on a yearly price keep that price." |
| What Hypertune is | New | Facts page lead, shortened. |
| "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat." | Removed | See item 4. |
| "Get more frames, smoother gameplay, and less lag." | Removed from the opening | Keeps the opening inside 60 words. It can stay lower on the page if Austin wants it. |
| "Cancel anytime." | Changed | The facts page and the Terms of Service say cancellation must be at least 24 hours before renewal. |
| $119.88 label | New | E3-13 asks Austin to label the crossed-out price as twelve monthly payments of $9.99. |
3. Footer links to add
Now (live, quoted; the same footer on all three pages)
- Product: "Pricing" (/pricing), "Technology" (/technology), "Expert Tuning" (/expert-tuning)
- Support: "Tutorial" (/tutorial), "Contact" (a button, not a link)
- Trust: "Terms of Service" (/terms-of-service), "Policy" (/policy), "Cookies" (/cookies), "Cookie settings" (a button)
- The footer has no link to a facts page or a trust page. Both pages are not live yet: /is-hypertune-safe returns 404 today, and the facts page URL is not set.
Proposed
| Column | Link text | Goes to | State | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Product | "What is Hypertune?" | The facts page [URL to confirm with Austin; planned live 4 November] | New | Matches the facts page's first question and title. Add it on the day the facts page goes live. |
| Product | "Pricing" | https://hypertune.gg/pricing | Existing | Already live in the footer and main menu; the AEO plan lists it, so it stays. |
| Trust | "Is Hypertune safe?" | https://hypertune.gg/is-hypertune-safe (or the trust page's approved URL, with /is-hypertune-safe redirecting to it, per E4-3) | New | Same link text and position as in the approved facts and trust mockups. Add it on the day the trust page goes live. |
Both links must work for a logged-out visitor (E3-17). The facts and trust mockups also show text links to Discord, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube in the footer. The AEO plan does not ask for them, so they are listed here only so Austin can decide whether they ship with the same Linear line.
4. Anti-cheat replacements
Every live sentence on the homepage, /pricing and /expert-tuning that makes an anti-cheat claim, or says or implies that Hypertune leaves game files alone, with its replacement.
| # | Page and place | Now (live, quoted) | Proposed | State |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.1 | Homepage hero, first paragraph | "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat." | "It tunes your CPU, GPU, memory, network and Windows settings, applying only the features you turn on, without making any unsafe changes." (part of the new opening in item 1) | Changed |
| 4.2 | /pricing hero, first paragraph | "Hypertune is fully supported by every top anti-cheat." | Removed; the new opening in item 2 replaces it. | Changed |
| 4.3 | Homepage, "Introducing Hypertune", CPU Overclocking card | "Hypertune operates at the hardware level, never touching game files, codes or directories. Trusted by Riot, EAC, BattlEye, Valve, and more." | "Finds a faster stable speed for your Intel or AMD processor, and stress-tests it on your hardware before applying it." | Changed (Travis-approved card text, unchanged) |
| 4.4 | Homepage FAQ, "Will Hypertune get me banned (Valorant, Warzone, etc.)?" The same answer is in the page data of /pricing and /expert-tuning and is visible on /technology. | "No. Hypertune operates at the system and hardware level, not the game-file level. We do not modify game code or inject any files into your game directory. It is 100% anti-cheat safe and used by Tier-1 pros." | "No. Game Hub profiles change in-game settings through each game's config files, which is the only way to change them, and that is all they change. Hypertune makes no unsafe changes." Then: "Read the safety page." once the trust page is live. | Changed (answer as in the approved homepage mockup) |
| 4.5 | Homepage, closing banner (shown twice, desktop and mobile) | "Apply hundreds of hardware-tuned tweaks. Reversible and anti-cheat safe." | "Apply hundreds of hardware-tuned tweaks without making any unsafe changes, and restore them from the Restore tab." | Changed |
| 4.6 | /pricing, "Five steps", step 02 (the same step text is in the page data of the homepage and /expert-tuning, and is live on /tutorial) | "One file. Verified by all major anti-cheats." | "One file. Download Hypertune only from hypertune.gg." | Changed |
| 4.7 | /expert-tuning, "Two layers", Layer 2 | "A remote session with a real engineer. Goes into the BIOS and hardware that software won't touch. Hand-tuned to your exact silicon." | "A remote session with a real engineer, who tunes your BIOS and hardware by hand to your exact silicon." | Changed (included because "won't touch" is the same kind of wording, here about the BIOS rather than games) |
Lines on the same theme on other live pages, outside this step's three pages, for the same Linear list:
- /tutorial meta description and page text: "Anti-cheat safe. Trusted by Vanguard, FACEIT, EAC, and BattlEye." Proposed: "Hypertune installs like any other app, reads your hardware, and tunes it while you play, without making any unsafe changes."
- /technology meta description: "Nothing permanent, nothing inside your games." Proposed: "Hypertune makes no unsafe changes, and you can restore from the Restore tab." The /technology FAQ carries the same ban answer as 4.4 and takes the same replacement.
Two lines in the approved homepage mockup are no longer on the live homepage (the game carousel heading "Hypertune safely optimizes your PC on hardware level, without triggering any anti-cheat." and "Anti-cheat trusted by Riot, EAC, BattlEye, Valve, and more!"). If that section comes back, replace them with the trust page pair: "Entirely anti-cheat safe. No unsafe game changes are made."
5. The /expert-tuning sentence
Now (live, quoted)
- The page has no link to the gaming guide. The nearest place for one is the "How it works" intro: "Your subscription is the foundation. The optimization is the extra push. They work together, neither replaces the other."
- The technician section still loads the removed technician's photo (
/images/blocks/aboutus/thomas-min.png, alt text naming him). COM-614 is marked done, but the A4-4 audit found the card still live on 22 October, and it is still in the page on 25 October.
Proposed
- New sentence, placed after the "How it works" intro and before the "Layer 1" card (New):
Prefer to start on your own? Our free guide to PC optimization for gaming walks through each Windows and BIOS step, and shows which ones Hypertune can do for you.
- The link text is the gaming guide's primary keyword, "PC optimization for gaming" (C1 and C3). The URL is the planned one in C3, still [Austin to confirm the pattern]. The guide goes live on 28 October, so this line ships only once the guide URL returns 200.
- Separate Linear line (not copy): reopen COM-614 and remove the fifth technician card, its photo and its alt text from /expert-tuning. The four remaining cards (AJB, Saiyan, MarkPlayz, Neo) stay as they are. No new copy names the removed technician.
6. Live pages needing links to the facts page
Facts page section anchors from the mockup: #what, #who, #price, #install, #cancel, #uninstall, #requirements, #partners, #figures. Until the facts page is live, price links point to https://hypertune.gg/pricing. Method links point to #figures once the test method (E4-8) is published there.
| Page | Where the link goes | Link to | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| https://hypertune.gg/ | The price sentence in the new opening (item 1) | /pricing now, facts #price from launch | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/ | Under the price card, "7 day money-back guarantee" | Facts #cancel | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/ | FAQ "How much does Hypertune cost?" (approved mockup) and "What if I don't see an improvement?" | Facts #price and #cancel | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/ | Stats strip "Users see up to 60% gains" and the 130 to 210 FPS graphic, once E3-1 sets their wording | Facts #figures | Method |
| https://hypertune.gg/ | "Explore the technology" block, "We collaborate closely with chipmakers" | Facts #partners | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/pricing | The price sentence in the new opening (item 2) | Facts #price | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/pricing | The line under the price cards (cancel and guarantee) | Facts #cancel | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/pricing | "Five steps", step 01 to 05 | Facts #install | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/expert-tuning | "Real results across every title", "BATTLEFIELD 6 Average boost 18-140 FPS", once E3-1 sets its wording | Facts #figures | Method |
| https://hypertune.gg/expert-tuning | About Us, "started in 2022 by Austin Copeland" | Facts #who | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/technology | "Powered by official Intel and AMD toolkits" | Facts #partners | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/technology | FAQ "Is this a subscription or a one-time purchase?" and the money-back answer | Facts #price and #cancel | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/technology | The uninstall answer, "Removing the app does not cancel your Hypertune subscription." | Facts #uninstall | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/tutorial | The five setup steps | Facts #install | Facts |
| https://hypertune.gg/guides/xtu-bios and https://hypertune.gg/guides/xtu-bios-vbs | First mention of Intel XTU | Facts #partners (the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility SDK sentence) | Facts |
| Trust page, when live (C2) | Price card and the "Users see up to 60% higher FPS" answer | Facts #price and #figures | Facts and method |
| Gaming guide, when live on 28 October (C3) | "Up to 60% higher FPS; results vary by hardware and game." and its "see pricing" link | Facts #figures and #price | Facts and method |
| Footer, every page | "What is Hypertune?" (item 3) | The facts page | Facts |
No link is proposed for /cookies, /policy, /terms-of-service, /guides, /guides/amd-bios, /guides/bios-update or /guides/xmp-bios: they carry no price, partner or performance claim.
Conflicts between the live site and the facts page
- "SAVE 42 %" badge on the homepage and /pricing. The facts page gives no discount figure ($69.99 against $119.88 is about 41.6%, which the homepage notes call "about 41% off"). The approved homepage mockup still shows "SAVE 50%", which no longer adds up. Austin decides in E3-1 whether a badge stays.
- "Users see up to 60% gains" (homepage stats strip). The approved wording is "Up to 60% higher FPS; results vary by hardware and game." The facts page holds the 60% figure back until the test evidence arrives (E4-17).
- 130 to 210 FPS graphic (homepage) is a 62% gain, above the 60% ceiling.
- /expert-tuning figures: "18-140 FPS" (Battlefield 6 average boost), "673 FPS" and "1ms" have no named test. The hidden homepage quote "Now I get 400+ FPS on stream" is in the HTML too.
- Anti-cheat and game-file lines (item 4) contradict the facts page, which says Game Hub profiles change in-game settings through each game's config files.
DEV-site-changes.md(5 October) also proposed a homepage intro saying Hypertune "never touches your game files"; that wording is superseded and must not ship. - Homepage meta description says Hypertune "offers remote system tuning, BIOS tweaks", which describes Expert Tuning. The facts page says Expert Tuning is a separate paid service, not part of the subscription. The approved homepage mockup already replaces this description.
- /expert-tuning About Us says "For over a decade, we've researched gaming performance to the extreme." The facts page says the company was founded in 2022.
- "Cancel anytime" (homepage and /pricing) against the facts page's "at least 24 hours before the renewal date".
- "can be reverted with a single click" (FAQ, all three pages) against the facts page's three-step path (Restore tab, most recent restore point, Restore). The facts page also keeps an open question for Austin before any page calls the changes fully reversible.
- Partner wording: the homepage says "We collaborate closely with chipmakers" and /technology says "Powered by official Intel and AMD toolkits". The facts page names Intel and AMD as partners, supports NVIDIA, and names only Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility SDK as a toolkit.
- Removed technician still on /expert-tuning although COM-614 is marked done (item 5).
- No facts or trust link in the footer, and /is-hypertune-safe returns 404 (the A4-4 audit saw 500 on 22 October).
Open for Austin
- The facts page URL, for the footer link and every link in item 6.
- The trust page URL, and whether /is-hypertune-safe redirects to it.
- The gaming guide URL pattern (/guides/optimize-pc-for-gaming is the planned one).
- Keep "The cheapest upgrade you'll ever buy." as the /pricing H1, or use "Hypertune pricing" with the live line as the H2.
- Whether the price badge stays, and its wording (E3-1).
- Whether the footer also gets the Discord, X, LinkedIn and YouTube text links shown in the mockups.
